VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE XXI

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: Simple house with marvellous views of the Gola de Ter Delta in Costa Brava. The design strategy follows the principles of ancient vernacular architecture, as proclaimed by Socrates: “…sunshine during winter will steal in under the verandah, but in summer, when the sun traverses a path right over our heads, the roof will afford an agreeable shade, will it not?” This premise is complemented by an excellent modern building envelope and efficient technical installations.
